TIPS

RESERVE ON TIME Because Curacao is an island, with a fixed stock of rental cars, prices rise quickly during busy periods. The longer you wait, the fewer cars are available and the more you pay. Busy periods on Curacao are Christmas and the Dutch school holidays in July.

CHECK ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS, SUCH AS AGE On average, the minimum age to rent a car on Curacao is 25 years. Check in advance what the possibilities are! If you do not do this, you may incur costs that you must pay on the spot or, in the worst case, you may not even be able to get the rental car.

ALL INCLUSIVE OR HIDDEN COSTS? Find out carefully what is included in the price. How many kilometers? One or more drivers? Navigation? What is insured and what is not? On Curacao there are only a few providers who offer a real all-inclusive deal. We have been doing this for years with great success. This is mainly due to the combination of low prices, excellent service and the possibility to book without a credit card.

ON THE ROAD WITH THE RIGHT INSURANCE Check in detail how the car insurance is arranged. It differs for each driver which insurance is important. For example, if you drive daily in the Netherlands and you almost never cause damage, then the chance is very small that it will be the case on Curacao. There are many different options and each landlord uses its own terms, prices and coverage. Here too it is recommended to choose a good all-inclusive landlord. You then only have to choose whether you want to buy off the deductible, everything else is covered.

US CHECK, DEBIT CARD, CREDIT CARD OR CASH DEPOSIT? We accept them all.
